Lyfe Jennings has made a few headlines recently when he issued out his own version of a “Control” verse, calling for singers to step it up, naming Kem, Anthony Hamilton, Musiq Soulchild, Jahiem and Raheem DeVaughn. Jennings, who openly admits to saying he respects all of the men listed in the track however rescinded all favor he had towards Raheem DeVaughn after the two men ran into each other according to Lyfe.

In a series of tweets posted to his Twitter account yesterday, Lyfe let it be known that DeVaughn didn’t take too kindly to being mentioned in a manner of friendly competition and threatened Jennings. Jennings, of course wasn’t having it.

DeVaughn has yet to respond. Both men currently have singles in promotion with Lyfe’s latest track “Boomerang” and DeVaughn on course to release his newest album A Place Called Loveland on September 3rd.
