Gerald Walker - Gravity (Produced by Cardo)

Gerald Walker’s first official major retail release album TARGET is fast approaching. It seemed like forever ago that the self-proclaimed Believer that Never Dies let loose TARGET‘s first single, “The Inspiration.” Walker must have heard his fans’ restlessness for more, as today he unveiled a brand-new leak from TARGET entitled “Gravity.”

Longtime collaborator Cardo handles production for “Gravity,” starting things out with deceptive, religious-sounding flourishes that suggest it might be another reflective track for Walker. The beat quickly evolves into something harder, however, pulsating and maintaining pace with Gerald’s still-rougher lines. For three and a half minutes, Walker fires off dismissive bullets at critics who would dare come at him and his team and blow their high – or rather, their rise, as he gets better and better and closer and closer to what he wants most. Cleverly, just when you think it’s over, Walker hops back on the track at the 3:11 mark to insist that “Gravity’s” “for the real n*ggas.”

Gerald Walker’s TARGET album arrives later this fall.
