Stones Throw signees The Stepkids are riding a bit of a high right now. Spin called them one of the best acts they caught at Bonnaroo and the Steely Dan inspired single “The Lottery” shimmers with neat guitar licks and plenty hues of retroism. The video itself is a humorous take on what Boogie Nights could have been if we were only talking about trombone players, male strippers and tons of attire that would make 80s chic seem in now. Wait, scratch that, the 80s still seem to be here somewhat. The jazzy funk node will appear on their next LP Troubadour set to be released this September.
