The Geto Boys Play Houston’s House Of Blues For Free July 4th Brandon Caldwell June 18, 2013 News When their supposed reunion concert during the 2013 Free Press Summer Festival only came with two-thirds returns, the Geto Boys promised a makeup date. Looks like you won’t have to wait long for that to happen as Free Press Summer Festival announced that Willie D, Scarface & Bushwick Bill would all be at House Of Blues Houston on July 4th, for free. While many were to think the police were involved with Bushwick’s absence from the FPSF show June 1st, Willie D told the Houston Press that the rapper simply didn’t make it in time while travelling to Houston from Atlanta. The group’s current reunion tour has been well received with stops in San Antonio already and San Francisco on Wednesday. Even enough for Mike Judge, the noted director of Beavis & Butt-Head to snap a photo with Willie D backstage during a show in Santa Ana, California. Judge used the Getos “Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta” in his 1999 cult classic film Office Space. To RSVP for the free Geto Boys show click here as it’s one of those mandatory things.
