The twists and turns in the murder case of Trill Entertainment rapper Lil Phat continue to grow. Decensae White, a Bay Area basketball star who once roomed with Michael Crabtree when the wide receiver was at Texas Tech was extradited to Fulton County Jail on May 17th and along with four others faces charges of felony murder, aggravated assault, criminal participation in gang activity, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony according to AllHipHop. One of the men, Mani Chulayev is believed to have ties to the Russian Mob and has a criminal past here in Houston as well.

White, who once played for Santa Clara University as well as Texas Tech University is believed to have killed Phat over drug related issues according to Fulton County officials. The basketball player was enrolled at San Francisco State University where he played during the 2012-13 season, leading the team in scoring and making Sportscenter. White, Chulayev, DeAndre Washington, Gary Bradford, and Maurice Conner are the five men charged with hiring hit men to kill the rapper, who was shot in the parking garage of a Sandy Springs, GA hospital last June.
