The Centers for Disease Control has asked Congress for $50 million to find a new cure for the disease called H041 first discovered in Japan in 2011. Here’s a few sex facts for you. – Gonorrhea is the second most reported STI in North America. – If left untreated it can cause a painful discharge and sterility in men and ectopic pregnancy or pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in women. – It’s especially common among people of the ages between 15 & 24. – Gonorrhea could be “incurable by 2015” according to the BBC. What makes matters worse is the report from Dr. Alan Christianson.
