Chris Kelly, who in the early ’90s rose to prominence as a member of Kris Kross died in an Atlanta hospital this evening. He was 34 years old. In 1992, Kelly rapping as “Mac Daddy” to Chris Smith’s “Daddy Mac” broke through nationally with “Jump” and sold millions of records of their debut album Totally Krossed Out.

In March, the duo reunited for a 20th anniversary of Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label.
