As we say farewell to the cold and frigid months no one is more excited than I to swap out the heavy wardrobe of jackets and boots for the simpler things in life like tanks and sandals. With aspiring fashion designers, brands, and products popping up all over the Internet and Instagram it’s kind of impossible to not know what’s considered in “style”. Taking a page out of my auntie in my head, Oprah’s book I decided to help those fashionably lost individuals out and list my five must have items for Spring/Summer 2013.

1. Liebeskind Berlin – Liebeskind Berlin has quickly become one of the most popular brands in the world known for its original style. The line features a wide range of products in a variety of different looks including bags, belts, accessories and shoes. Their S/S 13′ line is no exception as metallics, bright colors, and exotic prints will compliment any outfit for the chic fashionsita or fashionisto. If you’re planning on enjoying New York for the summer be sure to stop by their Soho flagship store otherwise visit

2. Anderung – The brand whose name means ‘change” in German began as a way for designer, Shaheed Rucker to promote his organization Recognizing that fashion unites us all he pushed to create a clothing line that uses fashion as a tool to promote social awareness. The designs while equally important as the message behind the clothes are innovative, bold, yet simplistic. The signature unisex “A” logo tee has been given a spring time upgrade as its S/S13′ collection has been filled with images of floral prints and tropical paradises. You can purchase any of the collection at

3. Beats by Dre “Pink Pill” – The latest release to the Beats Electronics empire is the wireless and portable Bluetooth speaker that comes in “Pink” notably rapper Nicki Minaj’s signature color. The new release is a perfect fit for the brand and rapper who exclaims it’s a product that she can actually use and travel with. The Pink Pill is available for purchase at AT&T retail stores and online for $199.

4. Skinny Guy Clothing– The trio of Houstonians brothers Tory and Tomaz Ramirez along with childhood friend Recie Wiley have continued to stick to the brand’s underline meaning of staying hungry and achieving anything they put their mind to. Especially, when it came to acquiring the face of rapper Kirko Bangz for their latest campaign “Promethazine Society”. The EG&P Skinnyguy brand recently released their collection which includes t-shirts and crew necks baring words and images synonymous to the drank culture. The brand is preparing to release their S/S 13 line “Dead Rockits” in June which pays homage to the brands birthplace. Items can be purchased at

5. I Love Ugly– While snapbacks continue to saturate the market the 5-panel hat is slowly making its way to the top thanks to brands like the New Zealand based I Love Ugly who continues to penetrate the US market with their popular all over print 5-panel caps.
