According to the New York Times, VIBE Magazine’s print side might be going by the wayside for the second time. SpinMedia, a collection of music & pop culture websites formerly known as Buzz Media which also includes SPIN bought VIBE as well as the subsidiaries VibeVixen.com & Vibe.com from VIBE Media. Prices weren’t disclosed.

For the now 21-year old hip-hop & R&B magazine, it’s the second time in less than five years that the print side of the magazine will have fallen. Back in 2009, the magazine shuttered before being revived thanks to new investors amid terrible advertising revenue. Traffic to Vibe.com & Vibevixen.com combined reaches about 1.4 million visitors per month
