In a shocking move, Joie Manda, president of Def Jam Records since March of 2012 has resigned a year into his tenure. According to a breaking Billboard report, the former Def Jam chair will move to Los Angeles and Interscope as President of Urban Music.

During his tenure at IDJ, Manda oversaw the releases of critically acclaimed albums from Frank Ocean and Nas as well as chart toppers from 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Rihanna & Big K.R.I.T.
