Cee-Lo Green - Only You (f. Lauriana Mae)

Cee-Lo Green has been in the studio cooking up Cee-Lo Green Is Everybody’s Brother, the follow-up to his unforgivably slept-on ridiculously good 2010 album, The Lady Killer, and “Only You,” featuring newcomer Lauriana Mae, is expected to be Everybody’s Brother’s first single. As such, Cee-Lo has opted to give the single the visual treatment.

With Ethan Lader handling direction duties, the music video for “Only You” seems to be inspired the film Inception with a funhouse effect thrown in for good measure, with Cee-Lo and Lauriana singing alone in the streets as the city around them morphs and distorts into various shapes. But don’t get too caught up in the visuals that you miss the actual track itself, as Cee-Lo’s loudness makes for a nice contrast to Miss Mae’s softer voice, and the two come together to make “Only You” sound pretty damn good.

Cee-Lo Green’s Cee-Lo Green Is Everybody’s Brother album drops later this year.
