Download Luke Duke’s Chemotherapy Mixtape

There’s plenty of room for error when releasing your first anything – mixtape, video, etc. Expectations are abound with certain things to be rough, bloated, unfocused and the like. Luke Duke’s twangy and smirk ready flow has already won over Houston insiders and even the ear of DJ Paul to make his Chemotherapy release not only wanted by many – but anticipated.

It doesn’t matter that his first flow tape, a staunch collection of 15 tracks fixated around sleeping with already taken women, smoking good weed and watching TV comes ready with features from Marcus Manchild, C4, KAB Tha Don, Young G & AC Gutta because unlike most newbies, you immediately know when Luke appears and when he exits. Maybe its the drawl he delivers when discussing paying homage to Bill Clinton by skeeting on dresses or how he accentuates everything with his personal mantra of “Who The Fuck Is That White Boy” but on group moments such as “Hot Boy” with C4 & Young G he quickly sets the tone, even doing his best to bounce around KAB Tha Don’s always authoritative shout raps on the screwed up drums of “Crucifyin’ Shows”.

Chemotherapy barely times out at 40 minutes but outside of its original cuts such as “DWI” with Manchild and “Stop Thinkin” with KAB and New Era’s AC Gutta it wheezes by without much a hindrance. There aren’t too many hiccups here, just plenty of chuckle worthy lines your bro friends might drop whenever in the presence of a woman. It’s not Seth MacFarlane raps but it’s clear Luke’s the star in his own vice heavy world, one he obviously has embraced as that white boy.
