The success of Marvel’s build up to “The Avengers” has now put the company in pretty interesting territory when it comes to the direction of its cast of heroes. Yes, “Iron Man 3” looks to be darker in nature with the involvement of The Mandarin and the inclusion of the Iron Patriot and the same with Thor when his sequel debuts later this year.

But what about The Hulk? And what about the next two Avengers flicks? Well, we already know that Avengers 2 is going to center around the Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos thanks to the Easter egg Marvel decided to leave us at the end of the first film. Thanks to an article that’s been floating around since Sunday night per Latino Review, we’ve got key plot points regarding the next two flicks.

According to the Review, the next Hulk films (solo & Avengers) would revolve around the “Planet Hulk” and “World War Hulk” storylines that were celebrated in the comics back in the 2000s. If you need a refresher, both involve the big green giant getting shipped off to a far away planet to discover his inner Maximus before returning to Earth hell bent on destroying it with his legion of followers. The first half of the arc would more than likely become the third Hulk movie with his return becoming a chief storyline for the third Avengers flick.

Like we stated earlier, Marvel’s definitely going in a darker direction with how they’re dealing with “Iron Man 3” and if they decide to even pull their version of the Illumati into this along with Dr. Strange & Ant-Man? We might have a fan boys wet dream on our hands.
