A week after President Barack Obama issued a mandate for stricter gun control laws in the country, another school shooting took place – this time closer to home.

Three people were wounded at Lone Star College after an argument inside of the school led to a gunfight between two shooters. One shooter was injured and taken in custody. Two more victims with multiple gunshot wounds were taken to Ben Taub Hospital to be treated for their injuries. A second shooter according to police is still on the loose.

A fourth victim suffered a heart attack in all of the commotion.

The shooting comes only a month after the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut which prompted mass calls for stricter gun control across the county including areas such as Chicago where the murder rate in the city is as high as it has been in decades.
