The more we continue to age, the more we realize our favorites were dropping some of their prime material almost two decades ago. Raekwon might be the clearest example of this as it’s been almost twenty years since the W and Killer Bees roamed from Staten Island to worldwide preaching about “C.R.E.A.M.”. Yet, Shallah is still producing quality material, evident by his 2009 masterpiece sequel Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II.

Out of nowhere, Rae’s Lost Jewlry EP dropped last night with features and benefits coming from Faith Evans, Freddie Gibbs, Maino, Statik Selektah, Scram Jones and more. Rae’s pretty much one of the last mohicans, a guy whose name instantly requires at least one spin of new material no matter what time it is. For bonus material check out his video for “Come Up” sampling Kraftwerk’s “Trans-Europe Express”.
