Cornball: ESPN Fires Rob Parker Day & A Dream Team January 8, 2013 News, Sports Rob Parker, the ESPN columnist who was suspended last month for inflammatory remarks about Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was fired by the network Tuesday. Parker, a long term affiliate of ESPNNewYork and regular guest on the ESPN2 show First Take questioning the merit of RGIII’s “blackness”, referring to him as a “cornball brother”. Parker added insult to injury by comparing Griffin III to OJ Simpson in an interview with ClickOn Detroit recently.
