To hold conversation with him about his influences, Propain would more than likely bring up the traditional greats as well as local ones who peppered his head with punchlines and aura. His first release of 2013 “Ball Drop” is slightly brooding with chill guitar strings and its narrator in reflection regarding his choice of women, his growth and then some. His voice trails off near the end but you can already feel the ground beginning to rumble as he picks up steam, that Hiram Clarke drawl of his flexing out more and more. Stream “Ball Drop” below.
