As though “Cold War” didn’t already have many an ear in eager anticipation for her upcoming Friends & Lovers album, Marsha Ambrosius has teamed with D-Dot Omen and longtime collaborator DJ Aktive to put together a mixtape, Hors D’Oeuvres.

Those who have followed Ambrosius’s career are all too familiar with Ambrosius’s past works with DJ Aktive – the ridiculously good Yours Sincerely and Yours Truly tapes – but it’s possible they’ve outdone themselves with Hors D’Oeuvres. It definitely doesn’t disappoint and should provide listeners with more choice cuts for your Cuffing Season playlists. “Slow Motion,” though, y’all. “Slow Motion.” Though each of the five tracks on the tape are more than worth your time, trust me. “Slow Motion” is just… it.

*ahem* Marsha Ambrosius’s sophomore album, Friends & Lovers, won’t arrive until early 2013, but feel free to whet your aural appetite with Hors D’Oeuvres. Download link and tracklist below.
