Legendary jazz pianist Dave Brubeck, composer of probably the most noted jazz single of all time in “Take Five” died in a Norwalk, CT hospital. A day short of his 92nd birthday, Brubeck’s passing leaves a giant hole in the jazz community as he was noted as an amazing composer and influencer. From his work with Charlie Brown to his magnum opus Time Out, Brubeck’s combination of classical and symphonic teachings with successive movements will find themselves appreciated long after today. He will be missed.
