There are few better ways to begin a banner year for yourself as an artist – and, consequently, set yourself up with a nice foundation to enter the year on – than with a concert. Local Houston rapper Dante Higgins seems to know that quite well, as he’s booked Fitzgerald’s for January to start out 2013 on a strong note with the Rhymes For Months Concert, so named after his recent mixtape offering.

Presented by Boss Click and Carl Spivey, bearing gifts in the form of special guests Young Scotty, Fly Boy OT, Undergravity, Roy O, and with Ken2DaFool on the mic to host, Dante Higgins’ Rhymes for Months Concert promises to be quite the epic affair. And who’s to say still others amongst Houston’s finest won’t make surprise appearances at the concert, as well?

Self-proclaimed Hig Headz already know. But for the rest of you, you have a month to get familiar with Rhymes for Months: TRILLogy and The Dante Higgins Story before Dante Higgins keeps it “TRILL” in Fitzgerald’s at 2706 White Oak Blvd, on January 3, starting at 8 PM.
