We’re a sucker for cover songs that aren’t necessarily cover songs and Chicago’s Kids These Days putting operatic touches on a Midwest classic (Crucial Conflict’s “Hay”) for a weed song of their own in “Bud Biliken”. Vic Mensa’s reminiscing on discovering the greatest illegal plant not involving cocoa is light hearted storytelling but a common theme most subscribe to. You can’t necessarily be upset at robust, enthralling stoner music, especially when it’s as lively as KTD produces. Their full length Traphouse Rock album is due October 30th and they’ll be embarking on tour with Asher Roth & Chuck Inglish later this month in a stop in Houston on November 7th.
