The Bacon Shortage Apocalypse May Be Upon Us Brandon Caldwell September 25, 2012 News America, forget 2012 and the Zombie Apocalypse – the Bacon Apocalypse is upon us. Britian’s National Pig Association is reporting that prices on pig products such as bacon and pork chops will skyrocket globally next year due to lack of rain in North America and Russia which has dealt major damage to crops such as corn & soybeans. Those crops of course are what pig farmers feed pigs. The result of this will be a dramatic dip in pig slaughter in the second half of 2013 which may lead to the doubling of pork prices in Europe. If you’re not a vegetarian, animal activist or someone who doesn’t eat meat, you may be jumping for joy. For the rest of America, there are plenty of thug tears hitting the ground.
