Surrounded by empty pages and an ocean of thoughts, Propain sits in an empty room with a pen in his hand. There’s no word on whether or not he just got done disposing of some wanna be rapper or decided to drown his pains in vodka or Hennessy but the context of “The Note” rings loud and clear. Director Michael Artis shows his visual eye, this time switching from a mostly film & grain driven approach (see “I Keep Dat”) to a visual one, where words literally glide in the air like Pippen over Ewing, only to seemingly get shoved out the way just the same. Dangerous Minds, Pro’s 2011 effort that is slowly maintaining heat until we get Ridin’ Slab is available now.
