As the first musical guest of Saturday Night Live’s 38th season, Frank Ocean had plenty to live up to. Remember, SNL is still held in high regard as a “status” performance venue. Setting himself inside of an arcade with a backing band, Frank performed “Thinkin’ Bout You” and the second half “Pyramids”, the latter of which found him backed by none other than John Mayer – while Frank played Street Fighter during Mayer’s extended solo.
