For One Night, Jerry Lawler Made Wrestling Surreal Brandon Caldwell September 11, 2012 News, Sports There aren’t too many days in the wrestling business where Jerry Lawler, the King of Memphis is the main subject yet last night – the King took center stage. Lawler, the WWE’s color commentator was rushed to a medical facility in Montreal after collapsing near ringside suffering from a heart attack. Doctors had administered CPR and at current time, he’s stable. Lawler’s broadcast partner, the normally criticized Michael Cole remained calm throughout the situation, calling it “a serious matter” and “not apart of tonight’s entertainment”. Before Lawler suffered the heart attack, he had just competed in a match against WWE champion CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler with Randy Orton.
