Former Auburn running back Michael Dyer, a key contributor in the Tigers 2010 national championship season has decided to transfer to Prairie View A&M. Dyer let the news break via Twitter where he unveiled a pair of Nike Air Force Ones decked out in the Panthers traditional purple and gold.

For Dyer, it marks his third team in as many years. Once considered a star and a fringe Heisman contender, the tailback was dismissed from the Tigers following academic issues and was dismissed from his original transfer school of Arkansas State when he was arrested in March after a traffic stop in which he had marijuana & a gun in his vehicle. Having previously rushed for over 1,000 yards in each of his two seasons at Auburn, Dyer’s SWAC journey more than likely will end this season with the Panthers before he heads to the NFL.
