Deja vu? According to HHDX, a rapper by the name of Warm Speakers (legal name Patrick Berlinquette) is suing Mac Miller, Dat Piff & Miller’s label Rostrum Records for $10 million for stealing a song Mac used on his Macadelic mixtape. Berlinquette’s song “The World Around You” was sampled on “Fuck Em All” on Miller’s 2012 project. Mac admitted on Twitter in June that he used Berlinquette’s song but Berlinquette has stated he has not been compensated for it.

Berlinquette claims he was “irreparably harmed, suffered damage, and defendants have profited in an amount to be determined at trial” and is asking for $10 million in damages.

In July, Lord Finesse sued Miller for $10 million over uncleared samples. He alleges that Miller rapped over “Hip 2 Da Game” and remade it as “Kool-Aid & Frozen Pizza”. The case is still pending.
