Alyxx Dione has been busy. And not the usual busy where people talk in their songs about always grinding, but don’t follow that up with the equivalent action. When we last checked in with Alyxx, she was still using her youtube channel to cover more popular songs. Fast forward a few months, and now Alyxx has an official iTunes single out, “Hold Me,” and a music video to accompany it.

Longtime Alyxx Dione collaborator Denzel Williams handles direction for “Hold Me,” depicting Alyxx in some of her most skin-baring – albeit gorgeous – shots to date. And while women especially will like Alyxx’s co-star in the video, it’s pretty interesting to see Alyxx go in an entirely new direction. R&B artists in general this year have seemed to move towards making “dance sounding” tracks, and “Hold Me” is in that vein, except it sounds much more like a dance joint from the 90s as opposed to this decade. Hence, what results is something that sounds almost a little nostalgic… but most definitely catchy.
