After much speculation on whether or not he would be retiring or returning, future Hall-of-Famer Kevin Garnett resigned with the Boston Celtics for a contract worth 3 years, $34 million. Garnett revitalized his career during the last NBA playoffs, putting up 19 points and 10 rebounds while helping the C’s to within one game of their third NBA Finals appearance in the last six seasons. Most predicted Garnett would return but that the Celtics would lose guard Ray Allen, who’s soon to become a free agent and has gained interest from the Miami Heat.
