With his #KeepIt100 project officially making the rounds throughout Houston and on the internet by way of DatPiff, local artist OneHunnidt still seems to be soaking it all in. For a man who was all too eager to put other rappers and perhaps the cliches of the music industry themselves on notice in the form of the track “Letter to My Competition,” through it all, OneHunnidt has remained surprisingly humble. To fans and listeners, OneHunnidt’s literal (musical) and figurative track records speak for themselves and #KeepIt100 was just the culmination. To OneHunnidt himself, however, there’s still work to be done.

Part celebration of the accomplishment of releasing his new project, and part OneHunnidt sidestepping the hubris that often follows success, the artist has put together an appreciation/”thank you” party to fans and supporters, the “Salute You” Event (aptly named after #KeepIt100‘s collaborative effort with Doughbeezy), set for this Friday, June 8th, at the Avant Garden and presented by The Numbers Committee and Reaching Your Dreams Inc.

Doors open at 10 and there’s no cover. And with guaranteed spins courtesy of DJ Auditory and the nice perk of OneHunnidt performing much of #KeepIt100┬álive (with a few special guests in tow), there are few better ways to spend your post-Memorial-Day-Weekend-weekend.

Oh, yeah, by the way – about #KeepIt100 – expect to see Day & A Dream’s thoughts on that in review form this Friday, as well.
