It was loud and hot. That’s the general premise behind Free Press’ fourth annual Summerfest. With the event growing in stature every year, some acts were destined to become bigger names afterwards. Fitz & The Tantrums built even more off of a stellar Coachella performance with a warm and engaging set, Morris Day & The Time made it feel like 1985 with performances of “Jungle Love” and “777-9311” and local favorites Bun B, Z-Ro & Fat Tony all held a significant portion of a crowd up to 60,000 people in the palm of their hands.

From Willie to Snoop, to Erykah Badu, the Flaming Lips and Danny Brown, FPSF 2012 was definitely one for the books as traffic from Allen Parkway was long but the good times lasted. Check out our photo gallery of the festival below.
