The Night Jay Pharaoh Made Stephen A. Smith A SNL Legend Brandon Caldwell May 21, 2012 Laugh Out Loud, TV/Movies Sports fans such as myself have mimic’d Stephen A. Smith’s rants on First Take for pure sport. The loud, overly passionate and often hilarious responses to Skip Bayless have become the stuff of legend, even making Joe Budden look like a well dressed Harvey Whippleman to Stephen A’s WWE-main event star persona. We’ve also said Jay Pharaoh is the most underrated member of the Saturday Night Live cast and on the season finale this past weekend, Pharaoh made the legend of Stephen A. Smith grow to absurd levels. Sadly, it was left off the live airing of the show but thanks to Hulu – Pharaoh’s impersonation, all the way down to everybody being a “close personal friend” of SAS dead on. Even he got a kick out of it. Saturday Night Live spoofed me last night. And I got to admit: it was damn HILARIOUS! Loved it!
