Remember how we all said Vince Young should have won the Heisman after the Rose Bowl game in 2005? Well, Kevin Durant is starting to make that case known after coming up big (yet again) against the Lakers in Game 4 of their West Semifinal matchup. More and more, Durant has the look of someone who pretty much built up all summer the hype of being the next “best player in the world” title and has capitalized on it with yet another historic season scoring the ball and leading the Thunder into an eventual NBA Finals matchup with the San Antonio Spurs*.

As Mark Jackson would have said last night if he called the Lakers/Thunder game, “Mama, that’s a bad man right there.”

* Yes, we know the Finals will pit someone from the East but unless Miami holds on and Boston stops playing Jekyll and Hyde ball, the West Finals might be the best series in years.
