When TV’s best villain Gustavo Fring found himself on the wrong end of bad chemistry from Walt and Jesse, fans of the AMC show Breaking Bad wondered what would occur in the show’s fifth and final season. There are certain things I can live with and upon hearing the news that my favorite drama on TV would be chopped into two-eight episode blocks, I didn’t even flinch or jump out of my seat.

Not since The Wire has a show brought so many different character arcs and elements into the land of exposition. According to series star Bryan Cranston, “We’re going to shoot the first eight, then take a four-month production break, then the rest will air next year.” If he and show creator Vince Gilligan are prepared to leave viewers with a serious cliffhanger – and let’s face it, you and I both know they will – it’s all aligned to make the final eight episodes of New Mexico’s biggest meth kingpin all must-see TV.
