Even though he’s just released the “Sex Ain’t Better Than Love”-propelled Inevitable EP, Virginia crooner Trey Songz is still churning out the tracks leading up to his fifth album, Chapter V. The single from Chapter V, “Heart Attack,” was just let loose this morning.

“Heart Attack” was damn near crafted with the music video in mind, I’m sure. Breathing life into Rico Love’s lyrics, Trey Songz croons about his struggles in love over some instrumentation that DJs should have all kinds of fun in the clubs with this spring. While I’m not a fan of how “Heart Attack” lowkey sounds beat-wise like the little brother of “Bottoms Up,” it’s hard to deny the song’s hotness and of course, self-appointed Trey’s Angels the women will eat this one up. When Trey hits the bridge and starts talmbout, “If I lose you/ I’m afraid I’m gon’ lose who, who I gave my love to…” it gets real.

We’ll no doubt have more for you on Chapter V as it becomes available, but for now, enjoy “Heart Attack” below and feel free to snag it on iTunes later today.
