The NFL’s most known impending divorce is set to occur.

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, Peyton Manning’s 14-year tenure with the Indianapolis Colts is set to end on Wednesday with an announcement from the team detailing Manning’s release. The NFL is about to go into an absolute frenzy regarding the status of Manning, the league’s only 4-time MVP who’s coming off four neck surgeries in a little over a year.

Miami, Washington & New York (the Jets) seem like possible destinations for the first ballot Hall of Famer and there are some crackpots believing the Texans will snatch up Manning even though they already have a quarterback in Matt Schaub who, if healthy the rest of the way could have led the Texans to the Super Bowl.

Let free agency get off to a glorious and raucous start.
