L.E.$. – Doing My Thang (f. Mac Miller, Slim Thug & Dom Kennedy)
If Houston maintains a steady diet of bleeding drums and an overabundance of subwoofer funk then it owes much of its recipe to the erstwhile funk of the West with its synth heavy, wide-eyed drum arrangements and bounce. L.E.$., already known to have ties to the West (remember his QuikTape of years past?) sticks to the production of Da Shit Factory (DJ Mr. Rogers & Stunt N Dozier) for his latest leak off of Menace featuring some pretty big bruisers and one piece of muscle always ready to ride.
Mac Miller’s nasally voice finds itself residing to chorus duties as L-E-Dolla throws the dubs up alongside frequent Houston visitor Dom Kennedy & Slim Thug. The sandwich displays one of the more notable hat tips to the West from Houston, distant cousins but still riding the same volves towards success.
