Earl Sweatshirt – Home

A little more than a year ago on a random February night, Odd Future was introduced to America by way of Jimmy Fallon. The OF boom happened, every magazine and critic (including us) wanted to dive deeper into the story and see if they could come to our neck of the woods and play shows (no dice, unless you count SXSW). Their most telling sign of invincibility was that they controlled their story and kept it pretty edgy. That is, until Complex broke the story about the whereabouts of Earl Sweatshirt, the group’s “missing” member.

Now apparently back on the mainland with a new Twitter account & Tumblr, Sweatshirt delivers his first recording of any real nature since EARL dropped back in ’09. “Home” only lasts for two minutes but its Sweatshirt, twisted and slightly brillant over a drowned out soul sample. Maybe this is what we’ve been waiting for? Grab it below.
