Last Saturday night D&D was invited to Thurogood Wordsmith’s premiere of his new video, All Cried, from his upcoming debut LP, Brass Knuckle Sandwich. The event took place at local boutique and hip hop supporter, Sole Purpose. Thurogood had built this event up to be the talk of the Houston hip hop community, and made sure his guest enjoyed themselves as he provided a keg and a few bottles of Jack Daniels floating around the Sole Purpose lodge.

The room was packed with many people from all over the city, and It was definitely a dope video. Shot by Evesborough Films in New Orleans, the video follows Thurogood through the street of the City of Jazz (click here to see video). DJ Candlestick helped out with the sounds all night, and had the whole block of Wertheimer and Taft coming in to see what Thuro and Sean had out together.

After the debut of the video the crowed at Sole Purpose couldn’t have accepted the video anymore than they did. The crowd included many notable names from the local Houston area including, Jack Freeman, Kyle Hubbard, Hollywood FLOSS, John Dew, The Niceguys, Hashbrown, Boudreaux of The Hive, and many others. To congratulate his fellow Wire Road brother, Yves Saint of The Niceguys encouraged everyone in the room to join him in a toast to Thurgood’s successful video and continued to pour a shot of Jack for the entire crowd.
