“Community” Added To NBC Lineup For 2012 Brandon Caldwell January 7, 2012 News, TV/Movies Apparently fan uproar and the “#SixSeasonsAndAMovie” movement work as NBC announced they would be bringing back critically acclaimed comedy Community back to finish its third season in 2012. Sadly, there’s no word on whether or not Alison Brie and the gang will get a fourth one. However, taking solace in the fact that smart, high brow comedy can live on a Thursday night (no, we’re not counting you Big Bang Theory, you’re just snarky) is a good thing. NBC has already made themselves look foolish when they mishandled the Conan O’Brien/Jay Leno saga and big budgeted dramas such as The Cape, The Playboy Club and trying to hold onto the only Law & Order people give a damn about but at least the boys at 30 Rock saw this one before it came to ahead. The third season being suspended was enough backlash and while the company will rake in a few extra dollars this year for covering the Super Bowl, resting their hopes on a group of misfits in Greendale, Colorado is a well educated move. Even if you don’t get what all the fuss is about (or want to know), you might want to head over to NBC’s smartest move in decades – Hulu and dig in.
