As a full fledged saint of Texas hip-hop, Matt Sonzala knows a few things. An ambassador for anything that has the audacity to be dope, the man commonly known as Pushermania took his talents to Austin a few years ago after being a captain for any underground artist in Houston not only with his writing but also with his Damage Control show on local station KPFT 90.1.
The city that gives the rest of the world SXSW every March has a bevy of local talent all with sharp skills and indelible wit. Sonzala took the time out of his already packed schedule to compile some of the best of Austin music in 2011 with tracks from Dred Skott, The League Of Extraordinary G’z, G$Baby, Bavu Blakes, Rapid Ric, Gary Clark Jr., Devin The Dude & more.
