David Banner’s “Swag” has no country cousin to hold onto, no accompaniment and for damn sure no ties to “swag rap” as the message behind it denounces the likes of Kreayshawn & Lil B and instead attempts to offer substance. It’s visual directed by Jonathan Andrade sticks to its predetermined script precisely, allowing the teacher from the ‘Sip to give quite a few examples of what he feels is wrong in hip-hop at the moment. Hipster labels, Odd Future, you name it, Banner depicts it and goes gainst it. The lead single from Banner’s upcoming project, The Make Believe Album is available on iTunes now.
