Remember When Georgetown Caught The Fade In China? Brandon Caldwell August 18, 2011 Sports Sports brawls make headlines because its a large display of either public ignorance or a group of people who have been pushed to their proverbial limits and feel like re-enacting a night in Memphis when a Three Six Mafia song was spun in the club. When the Georgetown Hoyas spent their time over in China for an exhibition game against the Bayi Rockets, pleasantries were exchanged in the form of fists. It’s been all over the news here nationally as Hoyas head coach John Thompson III took his players off of the court after the melee but the damage was done. In terms of pride, Georgetown may look a bit foolish after watching this clip as the Chinese cornered one player and went to town, almost strategic advancement if you will. Obviously the Rockets were prepared for a fight whenever and the Hoyas were caught off guard, much like they have been the past two NCAA tournaments.
