Putting a finger on Lil Wayne mania sort of died down somewhere in 2009, when the Martian decided he was good enough to put out a rock album and that the immediate backlash from even the staunchest of Weezy supporters began.

Yet, that hasn’t stopped Weezy or Young Money from shoving him down the collective throats of fans and listeners alike with the build up to Tha Carter IV. The recipe for success was already laid when he went after every radio beat available to him on No Ceilings and was championed from block to block.

Still, with every memory of Weezy destroying beats and the “Mixtape Weezy” moniker flashing like the Batman symbol, his current radio smash “How To Love” defies all rules and makes me feel as if Tha Carter IV is much similar to another superstar’s recent fourth album release.

So here we have Sorry 4 The Wait, the interestingly titled Wayne mixtape with the same idea of No Ceilings (a prelude to the next Weezy album), the most obscure feature for Lil B, a jack of Kreayshawn‘s “Gucci Gucci” and plenty of reviews about it ranging from terrible to lukewarm. It’s more of a knee jerk reaction towards something as there’s no possible way this thing has sunk in that much, even with a sprawl of leaks occurring in less than 12 hours.

Decision is up to you however. Tracklist & download link after the jump.
