Since it was announced earlier this year, the joint effort from the two men who held their Roc-A-Fella chains the highest has been on cruise control in terms of marketing with only one leaked single and numerous rumors detailing when and if the album would ever be released.

Like a thief in the night, Jay-Z‘s Life And Times blog not only confirmed that the photo above was indeed the album cover and Def Jam Records has the album up for pre-order with an August 2nd release date.

Me thinks Kanye and Jay saw the route Radiohead went with in terms of not releasing any more material and decide to hold fans hostage for an entire month. We’ll keep our eye on the throne until then.
