With possibly everything to gain from his mentor Lil Wayne dropping Tha Carter IV in June, YMCMB’s other successful male star continues to trek along until his sophomore album Take Care hits shelves in September. Yes, Drake opened the doors signalling his return with a show stealing performance on DJ Khaled‘s “I’m On One” but the teaser he dropped on us early in the wee hours of the morning “Dreams Money Can Buy” signal the return of ambiance rap that dominated the scene for much of 2010.

“40″‘s back behind the boards as the two continue to master their signature sound, Drizzy letting out numerous quips as if he were jotting them down in his mental journal while Shebib’s dark keys make the summer feel more like a cool autumn. His punchlines may still refrain to being on the slick side, see the “too f*cking busy/too busy f*cking” lead in from verse one but at least we know that we’re going down a similar path that we walked on Thank Me Later, which knowing Drizzy and company will lead to numerous songs charting and the feelings of a young kid from Toronto on full display.
