Peyton Hillis Takes The Cover Of Madden ’12 Brandon Caldwell April 28, 2011 Geek Squad, Sports 1 Comment Upset of all upsets. Relatively unknown Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis did the unthinkable earlier this week by beating out Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick in a fan vote to win the cover of Madden 12. More than likely if there wasn’t a fan vote involved then Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers would have gotten the nod but this year it was up to the fans. Hillis won with a even more shocking 66% of the vote. Is he strong enough to beat the most def defying curse of them all though? We thought Drew Brees had it in the bag leading the Saints to a wild card berth after a Super Bowl win but then Brees had his worst year ever when it came to turnovers (22 INTs) and America’s New Team bowed out in the first round of the playoffs to the 7-9 Seahawks. In order for Peyton to break the curse, the Browns have to either make the playoffs or Hillis runs for 1,000 yards and becomes the first white RB to hit the mark since Craig James. Now let me take my Sportscenter off and keep it moving while people in Philly make bootleg Madden covers with Vick on it.
