The strongest feelings represented between one night stands are usually left on the partners who sleep the night away while the other wanders off into the night. Those feelings are reciprocated, strung together in between lust and other vices when one party musters up the courage and asks the simple question, “Round two?”

For J. Cole and his lovely lady in this particular video, I’m sure it wasn’t hard to ask her for a second night of pleasure and good company. Sadly, he’s on tour, he’s got a rap career to focus on and a debut album that the world is hungrily anticipating. Despite his career, he did leave her with a spectacular night in Paris and with Drake flashing grins and verses with odes to thick women, you have what the lights were cut on for with Friday Night Lights.

“In the Morning” serves as one of those great reminders that even a one night stand can be memorable for the right reasons. It can’t be placed in the bachelor terms of romancing women just yet since it’s an open ended song. However, I’m certain many men & women who decided to take someone out for a first date on Valentine’s Day decided to ask the question Cole asked.

And maybe succeeded.
