Pusha T – My God (prod. Hit-Boy)
Let the verdict show that the youngest Thornton brother wasn’t playing when he told Karen Civil that Fear of God was going to be raw & uncut pure like a child’s heart. It’s gotten so raw that Consequence himself is slightly teeved over Pusha allegedly swiping lyrics from the eldest of all G.O.O.D. statesmen not named Kanye West. Leaving the politics and drama aside, we’ll be assessing “My God” solely for its militaristic production by Hit-Boy of the Surf Club and Pusha’s wizardry to whip cocaina placed rhymes into outlandish barbs both a corner kid and web purveyor could love.
Whenever Fear of God drops, there will be rumblings from the masses championing Pusha’s signing to Kanye as one of the smartest movies he’s ever made with or without the white. Here’s to hoping more verses may immediately overshadow all others from Push A Ton.
