What is love? Is it liking someone who feels the same way you feel about a number of topics and then everything blossoms into something far more serious? Is it that moment where everything you said you wouldn’t do for a person you do because you feel its right? To any man & woman, love is the trials and tribulations you go through in building not only yourself into a better person but understanding another individual more than any other.

Now that I’ve stepped off my Brother Love soapbox, let hasHBrown step on his. Frankly, Relationsh*t is soulful & honest, backed by a plethora of soul samples and slightly altered break beats that tell the story of a man filtering through love’s different nuances. The thought process of breaking up, of being defeated and ridiculed and not wanting your loved one back, the moment your friends get at you for choosing the supposed “woman” of your dreams and even the rebound moment when you try to go to the next potential “one”.

With hasH going through it and his main man Jett I. Masstyr providing the sweet sounds, he has Thurogood Wordsmith as the definitive wingman on “Quail Hunting”, his voice of reason along with Dustin-Prestige on “Degree of Difficulty” and even some spoken word from 100 on the EP’s opening & closing tracks.
